The Gilbert Resonance Model.
A framework for living and leading in full resonance.
There is a version of your life or your team where decisions come from clarity instead of pressure. Where the way you show up on the outside matches what you know to be true on the inside. Where growth doesn't feel forced, because it's rooted in something real.
That's what resonance feels like.
The Gilbert Resonance Model is the framework at the heart of everything we do at The Gilbert Collaborative. It was not built from theory alone. It was built from the full breadth of a life lived in pursuit of understanding, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Anthropology, 16 years of global leadership across some of the world's most demanding organizations, and deep, rigorous training in yoga, mindfulness and Co-Active Coaching.
Each of those disciplines added a layer. Each leadership role, each training, each certification revealed something new about how human beings grow, make decisions, communicate and change. And over time, what had always felt like separate threads, the academic, the corporate, the embodied, the coached, began to weave themselves into a single, coherent language.
The Gilbert Resonance Model is that language.
It didn't emerge from a moment of breaking down. It emerged from an awakening, a growing recognition that everything JaKenna had learned, led and lived was pointing toward the same truth: that the most powerful, most sustainable transformation happens when a person or a team comes into full alignment with who they actually are. And that she was uniquely positioned to guide that journey.
This model exists because JaKenna was called to bring these practices into the world with greater intention, greater depth and greater impact. And now it's here for you.
What is Resonance?
Resonance is what happens when a thing vibrates at its truest frequency. When your life, your choices, and your sense of self are all in alignment, and you feel it. In your body. In your decisions. In the quality of your relationships and the integrity of your work.
Most of us have felt resonance at some point. That moment when something just felt right. Not because it looked right on paper, but because something deep inside simply said yes. This. Here. Me.
The Gilbert Resonance Model is a map back to that feeling. And a set of tools to live from it, consistently.
The Dimensions
The Gilbert Resonance Model works across three dimensions of self, Past You, Present You and Future You, held together at the center by the Resonant You. Each dimension is informed by a distinct discipline, and together they create a complete, integrated picture of who you are and who you are becoming.
Past You & Intuitive Integration
Rooted in Psychology & Anthropology
Before you can move forward with clarity, you need to understand where you've been. The invitation is to integrate it, to mine your history for the wisdom it was always trying to give you.
Past You is the dimension of Intuitive Integration. It asks: what have you learned about yourself that you keep forgetting? What patterns have followed you across jobs, relationships, seasons of life? What has your experience been trying to tell you that you haven't quite let yourself hear?
Drawing on the foundations of psychology and anthropology, the study of mind and the study of how humans make meaning, this pillar creates space for honest, compassionate reflection. We look at your story as something that has been shaping you. And within that story, your values begin to reveal themselves, as truths you've always lived by, even when you didn't have words for them. They are your anchor, and they were there long before you named them.
For individuals, this is where we untangle old narratives and return to your wisest self. For teams, this is where we examine the culture that has formed, the unspoken rules, the inherited dynamics, the history that lives in the room whether it's acknowledged or not.
The question Past You asks: What have I already learned that I'm ready to trust?
Present You & Fit Foundation
Rooted in Mindfulness & Movement
The present moment is where you live and where all real change begins. And yet it's the dimension most of us spend the least time in.
Present You is the dimension of Fit Foundation. It asks: what does your body know right now that your mind hasn't caught up to yet? What is actually happening, in your nervous system, in your breath, in the way you're holding your shoulders, beneath all the thinking and planning and performing?
This pillar is grounded in over two decades of yoga practice and teaching, studies in mindfulness and meditation, and the wisdom of systems that understands the body as the mind's most honest expression. This is where intuition lives. A signal, the accumulated wisdom of your lived experience translated into sensation, into hesitation, into the quiet knowing that something is right or wrong before your mind can explain why. Presence is what makes that signal audible. When we slow down enough to feel, we stop overriding the most honest intelligence we have.
For individuals, this is where we build the daily practices, breath, movement, stillness, that keep you rooted when life pulls you outward. For teams, this is where we develop the emotional intelligence, the capacity for genuine listening, and the embodied presence that transforms how people communicate and collaborate.
The question Present You asks: What is true for me right now, in this moment?
Future You & Conscious Creation
Rooted in Co-Active Coaching
You are here to design your life.
Future You is the dimension of Conscious Creation. It asks: who are you becoming, and are you choosing it? What does the life, or the team, you most desire actually look and feel like? And what decisions, commitments and actions will bring it into reality?
This pillar is grounded in the Co-Active Coaching methodology, one of the most rigorous and human-centered coaching certifications in the world. It operates from the foundational belief that you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. You deserve to be seen, challenged and supported in taking the steps only you can take. This is the dimension of self-authority, the permission to choose. To act from your own deepest knowing, guided by your values and your intuition, with the trust that you are capable of choosing, learning and choosing again, no matter what.
For individuals, this is where we get specific: the goals, the commitments, the habits and the accountability structures that move you from intention to reality. For teams, this is where we build shared vision, clarify roles and values, and create the conditions for genuine collective growth.
The question Future You asks: What am I consciously choosing to create?
The Resonance Signal
The navigational tool within the GRM is The Resonance Signal. Its three frequencies, Values, Intuition, and Self-Authority, are the conditions that make resonance possible.
Values are your root frequency: the ground note everything else is measured against. Intuition is your internal intelligence: the deep knowing that vibrates before the mind translates it, the part of you that detects dissonance before you can name it. Self-Authority is your action frequency: the part of you that trusts your ability to make your own decisions, to act on it, learn from it, and move forward. This is resonance made visible.
Dissonance is what happens when any of the three frequencies fall out of alignment. The practice embedded in the GRM is the retuning.
The Gilbert Resonance Model does not ask you to become someone new. It asks you to become more precisely yourself and to build a life that reflects that with increasing clarity and courage.
That is the work. That is the resonance.
Resonant You
At the center of the model is the Resonant You, the integration of all three dimensions into a single, coherent, resonant self.
This is a practice. A returning. The Resonant You is not a perfect version of yourself, it is the most honest one. The one who knows their values and leads from them. The one who listens to their intuition and trusts it. The one who takes up the authority to choose, again and again, even in uncertainty.
The work we do together, whether in one-to-one sessions or in group and team settings, is always in service of this center. Everything flows toward Resonance.
The Gilbert Resonance Model is for you if…
As an individual, you are ready to stop living by default and start living by design. You sense there is a version of your life that fits better than the one you're in and you're ready to do the real work of getting there.
As a leader or team, you recognize that the most productive, innovative and resilient teams are not built on process alone. They are built on trust, on honest communication, on people who know their values and lead from them. You're ready to invest in that foundation.
